Admission requirements
English language proficiency
Demonstrating English language proficiency is crucial for international students applying to Cedar Mountains University.
English is the medium of instruction, and students must have a strong command of the language to succeed academically and fully participate in the university community.
Sufficient English language skills are necessary to:
- Understand lectures, readings, and assignments
- Communicate effectively with professors and peers
- Write clear, well-organized reports and research papers
- Engage in critical thinking and problem-solving activities
- Contribute to discussions and presentations
To prove English proficiency, international students can submit one of the following:
- TOEFL iBT score of 80 or higher
- IELTS Academic score of 6.0 or higher
- PTE Academic score of 58 or higher
- Duolingo English Test score of 105 or higher
- Proof of completion of an English-medium secondary or post-secondary education
In some cases, you may be admitted to one or more Cedar Mountains University courses with lower English proficiency scores.
Progress to a degree program will be conditional on you receiving a GPA of 3.0 in those courses.
